Alan N. Kohn, M.D., FACS.
Alan N. Kohn, M.D.,FACS. received BS and MS degrees in Engineering and Applied Physics from Cornell University (Ithaca, NY) in 1965 and
1967. After working as a Senior Engineer for Honeywell, Inc. (Lexington, MA), he began his medical studies at Rutgers Medical
School, completing the M.D. degree at Washington University Medical School (St. Louis, Mo) in 1973. He spent six months in the
Cornea Department of the famed Retina Foundation in Boston. Dr. Kohn served three years as Resident and then one year as
Chief Resident in ophthalmology at Mt. Sinai Medical Center (NY. NY), where he was the first resident to perform cataract surgery
with intraocular lens implants. He also served as a Clinical Instructor and Heed Foundation Fellow in Glaucoma. Dr. Kohn is Board Certified and is a member of:
American Academy of Ophthalmology American College of Surgeons Florida Society of Ophthalmology International Society of Refractive Surgery
Dr. Kohn has been performing LASIK since 1997, having been approved as an ISRS investigator in 1996. He has completed his
training under one of the leading, pioneering refractive surgeons in the world. Dr Kohn has recently served as President of the Palm
Beach County Ophthalmologic Society and currently serves as Chief of Ophthalmology at St. Mary's Hospital where he has been
Chief for 15 years. He also serves as Co-Chief of Ophthalmology at Northpoint Surgery and Laser Center in West Palm Beach and is
active on staff at Good Samaritan Medical Center as well as Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center. He has participated in ophthalmic
teaching and surgical missions to Guyana, Bolivia, Panama and China. He has published numerous scientific papers on cataract
surgery and glaucoma, both in the American Journal of Ophthalmology and the Archives of Ophthalmology and has contributed to a
text on outpatient ophthalmology. In addition, he has published in several engineering journals and holds patents on infrared optical sensing devices.

Adriana Saker, M.D Adriana Saker M.D. is from Bogota, Colombia. She is married to an orthopedic surgeon, has two young children, and has been an associate with Eye
Surgeons of the Palm Beaches since November 1996. Dr. Saker began her medical studies and completed her M.D. degree at
Universidad Militar Nueva Granada, Bogota, Colombia, in 1987. She then worked for one year as a Primary Care Physician in Arauca, Colombia, South America.
In 1988 Dr. Saker worked for one year in Research at the Virology Lab, Magee Womens' Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. In 1989 she
worked in the Eye Pathology Dept. at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa. Dr. Saker then interned at Abington Memorial
Hospital, Abington, Pa and completed her residency in Ophthalmology at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa.
Dr. Saker is Board Certified with the American Academy of Ophthalmology and completed a Fellowship in Oculoplastic Surgery with David Tenzel, M.D. in Miami, FL in 2002
